Re: Translation in french
Hi! That's great, thanks a lot.
.tne is file extension so it should not be translated.
It means Tile does Not Exist. Such files can be stored in cache instead of .jpg, .png, etc.

Re: Translation in french
To developers: let's include it to the distribution if bartho does not mind.
Только один большой косяк: при переключении на фр. названия карт становятся русскими (понятно, что в zmp фр. имён нет). Надо сделать по умолчанию английские.

Re: Translation in french
bartho, could you please change menu item "Langue" to "Langue (Language)" or maybe to "Langue (Язык)" for non-french-speaking people.
Re: Translation to French
Ok for the answer, now I know what is "tne".
No problem to include the translation to the distribution.
Easy to change menu item "Langue" to "Langue (Language)"
But before including, I want to clarify my ideas about some notions like marks and placemarks.
I think that "Marks" is a general word including "placemarks", "tracks" and "polygons" (all of them).
In french "Marks" = "Marqueurs", "placemarks" = "balises", "tracks" = "pistes".
For me "placemark" is a single point with a flag and "track" a lot of points registred when whe are walking along the points.
No problem with polygon, notion easy to separate.
Often, I find "placemarks" for "marks" and "path" for "tracks".
For me, "path" is the way inside the computer to find files. In french = "chemin".
For example :

First and last "Placemarks" should be "Marks"
Second "Placemarks" must be separate, otherwise, I can't translate in "Balises" (result here is "Marqueurs")
"Paths" must be "Tracks" otherwise, I can't translate in "Pistes" (result here is "Chemins").
and the result :

Re: Translation to French
Chemin is OK, it is not only a path to a file: https://www.google.com/search?q=chemin& ... 02&bih=779
Piste is also a good word, no problem

Re: Translation to French
I know that chemin may go. But, in french, we don't say chemin for a track in a GPS or smartphone, we say piste.
Chemin is the real way in the nature.
The problem is to homogenize the words.
I think that everybody can understand if the words are not allways the same, but in a computer we must be strict for no entering confusion.
The solution is to separate some words in the default.po then we can apply a specific translation for everyone.
Do you think it is possible to separate in the precedent case :
- In Selection Manager, in Delete the 2 Placemarks above ?
- In Selection Manager, in Delete the Paths from others Paths ?

You're right, but we have "Placemark Manager", menu item "Placemarks" in main menu etc. I think it's because in Russian this two words translates as "Метки" (Marks).bartho писал(а):I think that "Marks" is a general word including "placemarks", "tracks" and "polygons" (all of them)
