Changin Placemark Icon or Icon listing

Can I change the default placemark icon from the red teardrop to something else?
I want to use a different icon to mark spot heights for instance.
At the moment I have no such icon chosen but when I choose one everytime I want to use it I will have to go to the placemark manager and scroll down through the icons to find it I think?
It would be much better if I could change the default or at least change the listing so's the ones I most often use are at the top. Easily accessible.
Can this be done?
Are there mods or plugins for sasplanet that perhaps do things like this?
