Earth (GECache) returns: bad file.

I am playing with the Placemarks again ... and have noticed a small (not really) bug.

The Language I use is English.

Goto "Placemarks"->"Placemarks manager"

Hello, in what format are the Placemarks saved (Placemark, Path, Poligon) ?

Is it possible to export/convert them to some commonly used format ? Like GPX (GPS Exchange Format), KML, ESRI shape file, or something similar ?


The Import (KML) works very well, a export function would also be very nice

The bug has been fixed in Version 90914, GPS is now working excelent.

Hi, first I want to say that sasplanetj is really a great peace of Software

The only thing I miss is a GPS fix notification, I am never shure if the GPS is currently getting a fix or not.

I would be nice to insert somewere a litte SAT symbol:

Red = no GPS fix
Yellow = week GPS fix
Green = good ...

I also think that the the best would be to download the SRTM (DEM or HGT) files manually in some folder and to use them from the disk.

It would be really fantastic to implement a 3D View mode, then SASPlanet would be the by far better then GoogleEarth or any other similar Software

I just wanted to report a bug (I thing):

When the GPS is on (and center map selected), if I try to move or zoom the map (have tested with google maps sat view) I am getting a overflow error: invalid floating point operation.

I guess the map moveing/zooming should be disbled if the gps is ...
